For decades, the only effective treatment for hooded or drooping eyelids was surgical blepharoplasty — a procedure that involves cutting away excess skin, suturing the incisions, and recovering for 1–2 weeks while the bruising and swelling resolved. What Is Plexr Plus?

Plexr Plus uses plasma — the fourth state of matter, created when a gas is sufficiently ionized — to deliver controlled micro-arcs of energy to the skin's surface. When the device tip is brought close to the skin, a tiny plasma arc forms between the tip and the skin without physical contact. This instantly sublimes (vaporizes) a microscopic point of tissue, causing immediate localized contraction and stimulating the body's wound-healing response beneath the surface.

The net effect is two-fold: immediate mechanical tightening as the skin contracts around each sublimation point, and long-term biological remodeling as the wound healing cascade stimulates fibroblast activity and new collagen synthesis. The skin tightens, lifts, and rejuvenates — from within.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Plexr Plus is most effective for mild to moderate eyelid hooding, loose crepey skin on the upper or lower lids, periorbital fine lines, and early-stage skin laxity. It works on all skin tones and types — unlike many laser treatments, which carry a risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in darker skin. Significant ptosis (where the eyelid physically droops over the pupil due to muscle weakness) may still require surgical intervention, which Jodie will assess honestly at consultation.

What Does the Procedure Look Like?

A topical anaesthetic is applied 30–45 minutes before treatment to ensure comfort. The Plexr handpiece then works systematically across the treatment area, delivering micro-arcs of plasma energy in a controlled pattern. You will see small carbonized dots forming on the skin — these are the sublimation points and are a normal, expected part of the treatment process.

The carbonized dots must not be picked or rubbed — they will naturally slough off over 5–7 days, revealing fresh new skin beneath. During this healing period, strict sun avoidance and gentle cleansing are essential. Most clients feel comfortable returning to social activities within 5–7 days.

How Long Do Results Last?

Results from Plexr Plus are long-lasting — typically 2–3 years for non-surgical eyelid treatments — because they are produced by genuine tissue remodeling, not a temporary volumizing effect. Skin aging will continue naturally over time, and a maintenance treatment can be performed once healing is complete (typically 8–12 weeks later) for additional improvement.
