How does it work?
In the name of beauty, various methods have been used for skin resurfacing and rejuvenation — lasers, chemical peels, and dermabrasion. One recent advancement is the use of plasma energy to enhance the skin's surface and structure. Plexr Plus is an innovative handheld device that utilizes concentrated heat to treat the skin. It creates a small electrical arc, similar to lightning, which is designed to sublimate the skin's superficial fluids while sparing the surrounding tissues. Unlike traditional lasers, Plexr Plus acts on the top layer of the skin while preserving the deeper layers, which helps reduce the risk of permanent damage.
So, what sets Plexr Plus apart from electrosurgical devices? While electrosurgical units are designed to cut tissue, Plexr Plus focuses on gentle skin lesion removal and retraction by sublimating the skin layer by layer. Rather than cutting the way electrosurgery does, it is designed to renew the tissue. Plexr Plus operates at lower power and voltage frequency, eliminating the need for a return pad electrode. By ionizing the air between the tip and the body, it generates a direct plasma on the skin, leveraging the thermal effect in a precise, selective, and superficial manner that avoids damaging the deeper layers of the skin.
Your comfort comes first
Depending on the specific area being treated, patients may receive a local anesthetic or apply a topical anesthetic cream. There is no need for local anesthetic injections in most cases, no general anesthesia, and no hospital stays. Non-surgical eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty) can be performed using the anesthetic cream alone; certain procedures such as mole and keloid scar treatments may require a local anesthetic injection.
Treatment usually takes 10 to 40 minutes depending on the area. Comfort varies by individual, but many patients report Plexr Plus procedures feel virtually painless with the anesthetic cream — though treatments around the eye area may involve some discomfort and a prickly sensation. Your comfort is our top priority throughout the process.

Pre & Post Care
Please review these general guidelines to help prepare for your treatment and support your skin afterward.Personalized instructions provided by your Skin Diva professional always take priority.
Before your visit
- Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 4 weeks before treatment.
- Inform your provider if you have a history of cold sores or keloid scarring.
- Arrive with a clean face, avoiding makeup and heavy creams in the treatment area.
- Please disclose all current medications and health conditions during your consultation. Do not stop or pause a prescription medication unless the clinician who prescribed it has told you to do so. Ask your Skin Diva provider which non-prescription skincare products to pause.
After your visit
- Keep the treated area clean and dry. Avoid getting the area wet for the first 24–48 hours, as directed.
- Apply only the specific post-treatment aftercare products recommended by your provider.
- Do NOT pick, scratch, or rub the carbon crusts (scabs) that form. Let them fall off naturally to prevent scarring.
- Avoid direct sun exposure. Do not apply sunscreen directly to crusted or open skin unless your provider instructs you to; once the area is fully healed, use broad-spectrum SPF daily and protect it from sun.
Expected temporary reactions
Swelling is common, particularly around the eyes, and typically peaks within 48–72 hours. Tiny brown carbon crusts will form in the treated area and naturally flake off over 5–10 days. Mild redness may persist for several weeks as the new skin heals.
When to contact us
If you experience unexpected, severe, or worsening symptoms — such as intense pain, significant swelling, or signs of infection — please contact our clinic immediately. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, seek urgent medical care.
