What is a chemical peel?
A chemical peel is a professional exfoliation treatment that helps lift away dull, damaged surface skin to reveal a smoother, clearer, and more radiant-looking complexion. At Skin Diva, treatments are selected based on your skin type, concerns, and desired level of renewal.
Peel type and depth are selected during consultation, with consideration for your skin, concerns, and the downtime you are comfortable with.
Peel Option
The Perfect Derma Peel
The Perfect Derma Peel is a professional-use, medium-depth medical-grade peel formulated with glutathione and an acid blend. For suitable clients, it may be selected to address concerns such as uneven tone and texture, visible sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and acne.
Candidacy, preparation, and aftercare are individualized. Visible peeling and downtime can occur, so your provider will explain what to expect and the aftercare appropriate to your selected peel.

Chemical peel before & after
Professional chemical peels can help reveal clearer, smoother, and more even-looking skin as your complexion moves through its natural renewal process.

Your Visit
Your experience at Skin Diva
Your appointment begins with a personalized skin assessment to determine the best peel for your goals and your skin's current condition. During the treatment, you may feel warmth, tingling, or a light stinging sensation as the peel solution is applied.
Afterward, your skin may feel tight and appear pink or slightly red. Depending on the strength of your peel, visible flaking or peeling may begin over the following days as your skin naturally renews.
Aftercare & results
Chemical peel results develop as the skin completes its renewal process. For stronger peels such as a Jessner Peel, peeling often begins around day two to four and may last about a week, though each person's response can vary.
Keep your skin hydrated, avoid picking or pulling at peeling skin, and protect your results with daily broad-spectrum sunscreen. Your Skin Diva provider will give you specific aftercare instructions and recommend the right home-care products for your recovery.

Pre & Post Care
Please review these general guidelines to help prepare for your treatment and support your skin afterward.Personalized instructions provided by your Skin Diva professional always take priority.
Before your visit
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks before your peel.
- Ask your provider which non-prescription retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, physical exfoliants, or other active skincare products to pause before treatment.
- Inform your provider if you have a history of cold sores or recent facial treatments.
- Please disclose all current medications and health conditions during your consultation. Do not stop or pause a prescription medication unless the clinician who prescribed it has told you to do so. Ask your Skin Diva provider which non-prescription skincare products to pause.
After your visit
- Do NOT pick, pull, or rub peeling skin. Let it shed naturally to avoid scarring or hyperpigmentation.
- Keep your skin hydrated with a gentle, non-irritating moisturizer recommended by your provider.
- Strictly avoid direct sun exposure and wear broad-spectrum SPF daily to protect the newly resurfaced skin.
- Delay intense exercise, saunas, and hot environments until the skin has fully finished peeling.
Expected temporary reactions
Response and recovery vary with the peel formulation, strength, and your skin. Redness, tightness, dryness, flaking, or peeling may occur; some lighter peels cause little visible peeling, while stronger peels can take longer to settle. Follow your provider’s individualised aftercare plan.
When to contact us
