Treatments typically take around 30 to 45 minutes, are comfortable, and typically require no downtime — just a fresh glow that develops over several days as your skin renews.
Aftercare & results

Before your visit
- Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 2–4 weeks prior to treatment.
- Ask your provider which non-prescription retinoids, exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA), or other active skincare products to pause before your appointment.
- Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, lotions, or heavy creams.
- Please disclose all current medications and health conditions during your consultation. Do not stop or pause a prescription medication unless the clinician who prescribed it has told you to do so. Ask your Skin Diva provider which non-prescription skincare products to pause.
After your visit
- Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily and minimise direct sun exposure for several weeks.
- Avoid hot baths, saunas, and intense exercise for 24–48 hours to help prevent excess heat in the treated area.
- Keep your skin hydrated with gentle, non-irritating moisturizers.
- Do not pick, scratch, or scrub any darkened pigmented spots as they naturally flake off.
Expected temporary reactions
You may experience a mild sunburn-like sensation, redness, or slight swelling immediately after treatment, which typically resolves within a few hours to a couple of days. Brown spots may temporarily darken before naturally shedding off.
