It uses a small amount of neuromodulator — typically 4–6 units — injected into the orbicularis oris muscle just above the upper lip border. When that muscle relaxes slightly, the upper lip rolls outward and upward, revealing more of the lip's natural vermillion and creating the appearance of a fuller, more defined upper lip.

How Is It Different From Lip Filler?

The key difference is that a lip flip adds no volume. It simply changes the position and posture of the upper lip by relaxing the muscle that pulls it inward. What to Expect

Are There Any Considerations?

Because the lip flip relaxes the orbicularis oris — the muscle that purses the lips — there can be temporary mild changes in how you use a straw, pronounce certain letters (particularly B, M, and P sounds), or whistle.
