Cheek filler
Also known as a soft lift, a cheek filler will soften the nasolabial folds (creases in your cheeks from corner of the mouth to corner of nose crease) giving a lifted and more youthful appearance. Not only does it give a softened nasolabial appearance but adds contour to the cheekbones.
After softening the nasolabial folds using the cheek lift technique, filler could be added to the nasolabial folds to diminish the deep wrinkle that may have been created over the years. This will finish off giving a much more youthful, rested, rejuvenated, and beautiful natural appearance.

Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers
The Dermal Fillers used at SkinDiva are high-quality Hyaluronic Acids. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is close to identical to that which is a naturally occurring sugar molecule found throughout the body in connective tissue, skin and fluids in the joints. Therefore, they do not pose a risk of rejection or allergic reaction by our body when injected. As we age our body decreases in the production of Hyaluronic Acid giving the AGED/DRY SKIN look. When HA is injected it draws water to the area, therefore, restoring volume and hydration.
Dermal fillers provide 9 months to one year of correction for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, volume loss and skin hydration. Dermal Fillers are also used to replace lost volume in the lips as well as correct lips to make them more symmetrical, giving the lips the perfect natural hydrated pout appearance.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) works by holding in water at the injection site and acting as a cushioning agent. It adds temporary volume, gives a smoother and more hydrated appearance to the skin. Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal results. With HA, there is less risk of allergic reaction as it’s a sugar that is naturally produced by the body. HA fillers last approximately 9-18 months, depending on the area of treatment. However, if you have a faster metabolism your body will metabolize the HA quicker, therefore it may not last as long as stated above.
After all, is said and done, the major issue for fillers is one of longevity, followed by the risk of migration and lumping. Ultimately the skill of the injector in placing the right amount of filler in exactly the right place is the key to preventing these issues from occurring, this is an artistic technique. Similar to that of an artist with a paintbrush, every injector has a favourite formula and technique in injecting. Here at SkinDiva, we use the most up to date of injection techniques using the MD Codes as well as choosing the products that are best suited for the area being treated.
HA is not a permanent or semi-permanent filler therefore, HA fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called Hyaluronidase. This enzyme will dissolve the filler within minutes if you are unhappy with the results. Hyaluronidase will also be on hand to dissolve HA product if injected into the vein causing a vascular occlusion, this is the biggest risk factor when considering HA fillers.
